Yahoo! Tech is launched

After 6 months of work, we’re proud to announce the launch of Yahoo! Tech. It’s been a grand adventure and we’ve learned a ton from the experience. Last-child.com has become a sketchbook for many of these discoveries and mistakes. While there are certainly a number of validation errors, and style issues to weed out in IE7 and print style sheets, there’s also a ton of crunchy goodness. Take a look under the covers, she’s a beaut.

I’ll be posting some in-depth articles soon about the steps taken for better accessibility in this site. For now… it’s time to sleep and I’ve got 2 1/2 hours to throw something together for CSS Reboot tomorrow morning! Eeek!

Accessibility is more than making sure images have alternate text. I work with engineers, product managers, and designers to understand how accessibility impacts the users, set realistic deadlines, and create the solutions to provide a delightful experience to all users, regardless of their physical, sensory, or cognitive ability.
